Job description

Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock: Moving cattle home from pasture: Working and vaccinating cattle; Feeding cattle; Maintaining heated water systems; Opening frozen water tanks; Fencing corn field for winter grazing; Hauling water to corn fields for cattle; Inspect livestock for illness/injuries; Snow removal; Maintaining feed equipment; Assist with calving in March and April. Return cattle to pasture at the end of the season.

Special Requirements

Extensive pushing, pulling and walking. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Repetitive movements. Must be able to lift a 75 pound calf. Minimum one (1) months experience. Employer requires drug screen post hire at employer's expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post hire at employer's expense due to expensive tools and equipment and the presence of children on the farm. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Basic literacy and arithmetic requirement. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. No minimum education required.
