Job description
Workers will be required to work in livestock confinements in limited shift sizes. Workers will not be allowed to travel from one farm to another during any time where the daily minimum temperature is at or below 50 degrees Fahrenheit due to biosecurity concerns. Workers will work with livestock, feed, and water livestock. Workers will be required to work inside the livestock confinements to disinfect and clean the buildings. Workers will remove snow from around the livestock confinements and road on the farm. Workers will load and unload pigs for transportation. Workers must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds 75 yards. Workers must be able to strictly follow biosecurity guidance provided by the farmer.While there is no experience or education requirement, workers must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds 75 yards. Workers must be able to strictly follow biosecurity guidance provided by the farmer. Workers must be able to tolerate the strong smell of manure and cold temperatures for extended periods of time.
