Job description
Calve out calves during the calving season. Vaccinate, medicate and treat for seasonal sicknesses. Care for newborn calves and nursing mothers during the spring months when they require additional care due to fluctuating temperatures and seasonal sickness. Branding or tagging calves. Operate farming equipment in order to plant, spray, fertilize, harvest and haul small grain, soybean, alfalfa and cotton commodities. Maintain and repair irrigation systems. Bale, transport and stack hay. Build and repair fencing. Move cattle to and from summer grazing pastures. General farm duties such as servicing equipment, facility maintenance and shop work.
