General Farm Worker

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, spray, cultivate, harvest and store crops. Attach farm implements such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, rock picking; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Manual labor, drain excess water from crops, assist with irrigation of crops. Put crop in bins as well as remove grain. Chop weeds.
General lubrication, service (check fluids) and perform incidental repair to farm machinery.
Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.
Maintain and clean agricultural building and yards.

Crops: Corn, rice and soy beans

Special Requirements

Must know GPS guidance. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting or walking. Repetitive movements. Minimum of 12 months experience required. High school education required. One (1) year experience in USA crop farming and irrigation required.
Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. Due to presence of children on the farm and the liability of driving on roads and/or driving big expensive machinery, a drug screening and/or criminal background check will be required post-hire at the employer's expense. Failure to pass drug screening and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment with our company.
Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
