Job description
We plant small grains (rye, wheat, oats), and forages (forage soybeans, cool season grasses and forage sorghum). Employee will need to manage irrigation on these crops throughout the crop year. Crops are either grazed or put up for stored feed. We need an employee to complete routine maintenance and repairs on tractors and other farm equipment/implements, monitor and complete maintenance and repairs on irrigation equipment including center pivots and service irrigation motors. Employee must assist with the planting of all crops, coordinate with crop consultant and applying fertilizer and herbicides as directed on the crops, irrigate crops as needed and in the fall assist with the harvesting of these crops. Assist with general farm maintenance and upkeep and complete general farm duties as needed.
Special Requirements
Job requires extensive walking and frequent stooping. Must have a regular drivers license. Require 3 months experience.
