Job description

Prepare fields for planting (digging trenches to drain water, disking, rowing-up, subsoiling; plant corn and cotton using planters (calibrate planters and spraying equipment as necessary); Drive 250 hp tractors with 12 row farm implements such as hippers, planters, sprayers, shredders, discs; disk fields to shred corn and cotton stalks; use sub soilers to turn under corn/cotton stalks; use hipper to row-up fields. Irrigate fields (haul pipe and lay out center pivot irrigation system to fields), repair and service irrigation systems; unload and store seeds (corn and cotton) and chemicals; load chemicals (herbicides/pesticides and fertilizer) used to spray crops; haul seeds, chemicals, water and fuel to field. -Protect crops from invasive species-plant and animal. Load and unload trucks at grain bins. Use hoes, shovels, wrenches, etc. Repair farm machinery/equipment; service tractors (change oil, air filters, etc. as scheduled). Some heavy lifting (30 lbs.) Work outside 99% of the time. Alternative work includes general farm maintenance, mowing, clean grain bins and storage areas, clear debris from farm areas, install drain pipes maintenance of buildings, roads, ditches yards etc.

Able to drive 250 hp tractor with 12-row farm implements, Work outside Some heavy lifting (30 lbs.) Must be available for the entire contract period and able to perform all job duties. Hours of work may vary due to weather conditions and job duties. Workers will only drive on farm property and will not drive trucks off farm property such as on county roads, state or intrastate highways. A drivers license is not required to drive farm trucks on farm access roads or to drive farm implements, tractors, etc. Applicants meeting all qualifications required must possess documents to complete INS Form I-9 and be available at the time and place necessary to begin employment. "In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire."
