Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. General up keep of farm properties. Mowing, disassembling and removing barbed wire fence and metal and wood posts and rolling barbed wire. Possible disassembling and removal of buildings and structures and debris. Helping with grain elevator repair and maintenance. 

Equipment: Tracked 9560 tractor; 1 John Deere 8370 FWA; Loader tractors, skid steers; Grain augers; semi truck that pull double trailers. Sprayers; water and chemical trailer; pickups; mowers; small tractors; back hoes; dozers; scrapers; Air seeders; combines.

Crops: Dry Peas; Durum; Flax Seed; Lentils; Peas; Wheat; Spring Wheat; Winter Wheat

Special Requirements

Extensive pushing, pulling, sitting and walking. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Frequent stooping. Repetitive movements. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of (3) months experience required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
