Farm Equipment Operator 1 Job Description
Operate and maintain various types of farm equipment. Perform routine maintenance and repairs to farm equipment and ensures equipment is in good working condition and adheres to all applicable safety rules.
Operate Tractors, Trucks, Center Pivots, Loaders, Pilers, Skid Steers, Telehandlers, Hogs and other farm equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Operate tractor and other farm equipment for the tillage, cultivating and harvesting of crops.
Maintain equipment used in agricultural production and field preparation such as tractors, irrigation equipment, 4-wheelers, trucks, and other commonly used equipment in agriculture .
Perform routine maintenance and repairs to equipment as needed. Assist mechanics with repairs. Grease and check hydraulic fluids daily.
Drive vehicles to haul crops, supplies, farmworkers, tools.
Install monitor, maintain and repair the irrigation system for a specified area of the farm. Follow all applicable safety procedures.
Assist with cutting seeds
The Employer attests that all workers will be properly trained in the Worker Protections Standard (WPS) by qualified WPS trainers who have completed an EPA-approved Train-the-Trainer course pursuant to the Oregon Department of Agriculture.

4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 60lbs.
4g) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
4h) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools, wheel barrows, etc.
4i) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time while sorting, picking, examining, weeding, transporting, etc.
4j) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor such as weeding, irrigating, removing debris, etc.
4k) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties, for example picking shoveling, weeding, etc.
