Job description
Job duties include the operation of various tractors and farm equipment to till soil, plant, irrigate, fertilize, harvest, and transport crops to the elevator or storage area. Equipment that employees will operate includes but is not limited to tractors with various implements attached, sprayers, combines, backhoe, mowers, trackhoe, and semi-trucks to transport crops. Employees will also perform manual labor including but not limited to performing mechanical repair and maintenance on equipment and around the farmstead; using hand tools in fields; laying, pocking holes, and picking up poly pipe; working with levee gates; and performing cleaning and housekeeping duties around the farm and shop locations. Employees must have or be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire; must have basic English literacy, reading, and math skills; and at least 3 months of experience. Increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit.
