Job description

Perform duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, spray, cultivate, and harvest. Operate excavator dozer, dirt moving equipment, GPS guidance system on JD tractors and sprayers. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and planters to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate. Tow harvesting equipment for peanuts. Drive andoperate peanut equipment, 7760 baler, and cotton picker. Pull weeds on the farm. Maintain all farm equipment and trucks. Maintain all grounds. Repair irrigation pipe and use of equipment involved with irrigation of crops. Lubricate, service, and incidental repair to equipment. Drive semi-trucks to haul peanuts to warehouse.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
