Farm Worker

Job description

Manually plant and harvest field crops. Us hand tools such as, shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, printing hooks, sheers and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers, weeding, thinning or pruning crops, applying pesticides, cleaning, packing and loading harvested products. May construct trellises, repair fences and farm buildings or participate in irrigation activities. Other duties may include but not limited to: dig plant seeds or transplant seedlings by hand/machine, identify plants, pests and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers. Workers may be drug tested post-hire at no cost to the workers. Failure to comply or testing positive may result in immediate termination. All work and safety rules must be followed by all workers. Workers must be physically able to perform all duties.
