Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store crops. Attach farm implements, such as planter, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate crops. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine and sprayer. General lubrication, service (Checking fluids), clean and incidental repair to farm machinery and work shop. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Check and maintain center pivot irrigation systems. Also may be required to assist in putting up hay/feed bales.

Crop/s: Alfalfa, Corn, Dry Peas, Milo, Soy Beans, Winter Wheat

Special Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
