Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine and skid steer tractor. Operate various augers and conveyors. Perform basic yard maintenance and help with drain tile installation. General lubrication, service (check fluids), and incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive semi and grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Crops: Canola, Corn, Peas, Soy Beans, Sunflower, Wheat

Equipment: John Deere s680 combines, John Deere 9570 tractors, John Deere 1895 no till drills, 1770 NT Planter, JD 8370 tractor, JD7330 tractor, 4030 John Deere Sprayer, 15 inch custom planter, semis and trailers, disks, strip tiller and drain tiling equipment.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
