Job description

Farm workers and Greenhouse laborers for commercial potted flower and plant operation
Working inside temperature controlled greenhouses and outside in fields Manually planting flowers in pots on a conveyor production line. Packing flowers and picking plants and flowers for orders. Ticketing/labeling pots and wrapping plants and boxing plants.
Weeding watering fertilizing with hose, spraying pesticides and fungicides, laying down plants on ground inside greenhouses and outside fields Installing drip irrigation for fields and inside greenhouses. Cleaning and dumping plants for next crops, Sweeping floors. Some tasks could be heavy lifting up to 50lb. Help pull plastic on greenhouses. Repairing deer fence and cutting lawn for weed prevention on farm. Putting plastic pots in potting machines and loading carts and unloading carts with plants. Wrapping carts with Shrink wrap plastic for order to go out. Making medal and wooden rack to put plants on to ship for sale. Scouting for pest and report to growers. Drug testing given post hire at employers expense. Work hours may vary from 40hrs. - 60 hrs. per week. Work days may vary from time to time depending on weather conditions; therefore, Saturday and/or Sunday work may be expected.
