Temporary Seasonal Position: Livestock Farm Worker | SOC Code: 45-2093

All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described & must be available for entire period.

Rockn RF Cattle Co, Salem, NM, Dona Ana

Possible shift: 7:00AM-7:00PM. 60+ May be possibility of weekend work. Crops: Cattle, Horses, Alfalfa. Duties may include: Prepare and haul livestock on and around work site. Check animal health and give medical care as needed. Build, erect and maintain cattle fences, gates and corals. Check and maintain cattle feed and water equipment. Feed cattle, mix additives in feed. Protect livestock from predators. Weigh livestock. Collect and remove manure from livestock facilities. Construct wind breaks for cattle. Break up ice in water troughs. Operate equipment to haul manure. Haul hay on hay trailer, load hay bales. Use equipment to remove and haul equipment. Irrigate, cultivate and harvest alfalfa crop. & other related Livestock Farm Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093 (onetonline.org). Must have 3 months Livestock exp.Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 120lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area.120lbs. Tools supplies and equipment provided at no cost to worker. Employer guarantees 3/4 of contract. Work outdoors, exposed to weather, hot or cold; hrs may vary (+/-); possible downtimes and/or extended hrs. Dependable: fulfill obligations. Attn. to detail: complete work tasks. Employer provided housing available to those who cannot reasonably return to their residence within the same day. No cell phone use during work hours.
