Job description

Duties include drive and operate farm machinery to plant and cultivate, transport flowers. Attach farm implements, such as wagons/trailers to a tractor. Tow trailer behind a tractor, transport product/flowers to storage area, inside and outside of greenhouse facilities as well as between different farms within a 50 mile radius belonging to the nursery group. Load onto box trucks carts with racks full of flowers and pot plants, transport the flowers/plants to stores and market facilities and offload the flowers and posts. Pick plants. General assistance with maintenance of the greenhouse facilities, and repair equipment and farm machinery.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen and criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to company policy. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
