Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; pick rocks, plant grains. Provide necessary support activities like cleaning seed, transporting and loading seeds and fertilizers to field sites. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine, sprayer, tractor and grain cart. Perform all duties involved with haying. Local transport of crops to elevator or storage area. Perform worksite, building, and grain storage maintenance. Clean farm equipment.

Equipment: tractor, combine, trucks

Crops: Alfalfa, Barley, Canola, Corn, Dry Peas, Durum, Soy Beans, Sunflower

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
