Job description
General farmhands for Rice & Crawfish, work includes: Help repair and maintain farm equipment, shop, fields, levees, and farm roads; field prep, moderate amount of shovel labor required & use of brush knife, water maintenance, harvesting of rice crop, driving tractor, assist with shipment of rice & sweeping grain bins; pull red rice by hand; must be able to lift & carry 80 lbs. sacks;. 3 mos. experience in identififying & pulling red rice. Crawfishing involves manually cutting up of fish bait, baiting of traps; operate motorized boat and walking & pushing a Crawfish boat in 18 of water for at least 6 hours per day; may include extensive pushing & pulling, frequent stooping and lifting traps from pond, lifting requirement of 80 lbs., repetitive movements, must be in good physical condition and working outside in inclement weather conditions and also in extreme heat. Housing provided on the premises at no cost. Tools, equipment & supplies provided at no cost. Transportation & subsistence expenses to the worksite will be paid by the employer upon 50% completion of the work contract. Employees may make above hourly wage and or receive bonuses based on work performance and experience. Must have legal authority to work within the United States.
