Job description

Performs duties like: Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, store and transport cotton. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, drill to tractor; till soil; plant and cultivate crops. Operate a cotton stripper to collect, pack, move stack, and transport crops. Lubricate and repair farm machinery; drive trucks to transport equipment to and from fields.

Equipment: tractor, truck, cotton stripper, module builder, bowl buggy

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
