Job description
General worker corn, farm animals, grain, hay, milo, pasture, rice bran, soybeans, sugarcane farm. Work includes tractor driving, field prep, water maint, fertilize, prepare, cultivate, plant, harvest of crops. Field prep includes operating farm equipment, manual shovel work, cleaning drains with shovel and hoeing of weeds, spot spray and gen farm labor. Help repair/maintain animals, barns, bins, bldgs, corrals, ditches, equip, farm, fences, field, grounds, levees, pastures, ponds, properties, road, shed, shop and troughs. Haul/feed/hay, clean stalls. Bag rice bran and corn. Load/unload trucks. Worker must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs. M-F, some Sat/Sun, OT varies. Employees may be compensated above the stated hourly wage, this decision to pay above the prevailing hrly wage will be made by the employer, basing this decision on factors that include performance and work history. Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, insect spray and related chemicals and pesticides, etc. may affect workers ability to perform the job. Employer may require post hire, random, upon suspicion or post accident drug testing, all at no cost to employee. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. Job includes stooping, lifting and working outside in inclement weather. Must have 3 mo exp in similar position.
