Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to seed, spray, harvest and store grain crops. Use auto steer. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service (check fluids), and incidental repair to farm machinery. Weld. Farm maintenance may include fencing, mowing ditches and other areas. Clean and organize of shop/work area. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Crops: Barley, Canola, Soy Beans, Wheat, Yellow Mustard, Sunflower

Equipment: John Deere 9630 4 wheel drive tractor, John Deere 9520 4 wheel drive tractor, John Deere 9870 combine, 35 foot headerMarflex self propelled 100 foot sprayer, All of the above are equipped with GPS and Autosteer, 2009 Freightliner semi tractor with 42 foot trailer, 2005 Freightliner semi tractor with 42 foot trailer, John Deere 7430 Front Wheel Assist Tractor, John Deere 4440 Diesel Front End Loader Tractor Bobcat Skid Steer Loader.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Frequent stooping is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
