Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service (check fluids), and incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Shop work. Moving cattle 7 days in spring form home to pasture. Moving cattle 5 to 7 days in fall from pasture to home. Land maintenance.

Equipment: 120 foot self propelled sprayer, Track tractors, MFD tractors, self propelled combines, tractor trailer trucks, pay loaders, loader tractors, feeder wagons, mower conditioners, air seeders, planters. Round Baler, Manure spreader, GPS technology. Skid steers

Crops: Alfalfa, Barley, Canola, Corn, Grain, Soy Beans, Sunflower, Wheat

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to the presence of children on the farm. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
