Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, spray, cultivate, harvest and store crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate crops. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service and incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive semi-trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Equipment: JD 9400 and 9430 articulated tractors with JD 2630 GPS monitors, JD 7830 MFWD with 2630 GPS , JD S670 combine with 2630 GPS monitor. Older JD 2WD tractors including 4630 used mainly for augers, rock picking and light work, JD 4940 sprayer with 2630 monitor for steering and swath control, Freightliner semis with 40 ft Timpte hopper trailers for grain hauling, Brent V1100 grain cart, JD tillage equipment, Salford vertical tillage tool.Case CX160 excavator. Bobcat compact track loader.

Crops: Canola, Small Grain, Soy Beans

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive sitting is required.
