Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: Water the crops during the watering season. On downtime, workers will be expected to drive and operate farm machinery to plant, mow and use weed eater, general cleaning of work place (i.e. work shops, grain bins, etc.), trash removal to dumpster, cultivate, pipe replacement, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine and sprayer. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive semi-trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Crops: Beans, Rice, Wheat, Corn

Equipment: It's not required to be able to operator all but it is possibility they will be exposed to Tractors, Backhoes, Semi Trucks, and Grain Elevators (Grain Bin systems).

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
