Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate crops. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Drive and operate sprayer with GPS guidance system. General lubrication, service (Checking fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Repair fences. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Crops: Alfalfa, Canola, Corn, Durum, Grain, Lentils, Milo, Oats - Summer, Peas, Soy Beans, Spring Wheat

Equipment: Air Seeder 4 Wheel Drive Tractor Combine Sprayer with GPS Semi trucks Grain trucks Baler4 wheeler Ranger

Special Requirements

Extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, and walking. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Frequent stooping. Repetitive movements. Random drug screening required post-hire at employer's expense due to liability of driving heavy equipment and trucks on public roads. Criminal background check required post-hire at employer's expense due to the presence of children on the farm. Failure to pass drug screening and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment on the farm. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Minimum of (3) months experience required. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
