Temporary Seasonal Position: Farm Worker | SOC Code: 45-2092

Possible shift: 7:00AM-5:00PM. 40+ May be possibility of weekend work. Crops: Grapes, Berries. Duties may include: Set up and operate irrigation equipment, operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, operate self propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements and mechanical equipment. Harvest fruits and vegetables by hand. Apply pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers to crops. Inform farmers or farm managers of crop progress. Identify plants, pests and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers. Direct and monitor the work of casual and seasonal help during planting and harvesting. Clear and maintain irrigation ditches. Record information about crops, such as pesticide use, yields or costs. Dig and plant seeds, or transplant seedlings by hand. Repair farm buildings, fences and other structures. Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage and post harvest treatment of crops. Load agricultural products into trucks and drive trucks to market or storage facilities. & other related Farm Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092 (onetonline.org). Must have 3 months Agricultural exp.Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 100lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area.100lbs. Tools supplies and equipment provided at no cost to worker. Employer guarantees 3/4 of contract. Work outdoors, exposed to weather, hot or cold; hrs may vary (+/-); possible downtimes and/or extended hrs. Dependable: fulfill obligations. Attn. to detail: complete work tasks. Employer provided housing available to those who cannot reasonably return to their residence within the same day. No cell phone use during work hours.

Must be able to obtain a drivers license. Must be 18 years of age. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show legal authorization to work in the United States. Cash advances may apply at employer discretion.
