Job description

Workers will be required to perform a variety of duties related to the general farming operations including ground preparation, planting, irrigation, cultural activities and harvest of Broccoli, Brussels Sprouts, Cauliflower, Potatoes Grains, and other Crops. The majority of the work activities will be related to the operation of various tractors, sprayers, trucks, combines, diggers, and specialty farm equipment and the implements associated as well as other supplemental farming and shop maintenance duties as required.

Workers must have the ability to operate, maintain and perform basic repairs on tractors and other farm equipment. These functions include general operations of the machines, setup and adjustment of precision farming equipment systems and implements, ability to safely handle and precisely mix/apply chemicals/fertilizers as directed, setup attach and operate various accessories and implements, and perform routine maintenance and field/farm repair activities. Worker must be able to sit for extended periods of time on motorized farm equipment and lift 60 pounds as needed to load/mix/harvest product

Special Requirements

This job requires a minimum of three months of prior experience in the operation of agricultural equipment required to perform a variety of duties in crop farming which include preparation, planting, irrigation and harvest. Work week is generally Monday through Saturday (Saturday work required); with Sunday work offered but not required. Must be able to lift/carry 60 lbs. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing is required after a worker has an accident at work and upon reasonable suspicion of use.
