Equipment Operator

Job description

Equipment operators will use and perform maintenance on the following heavy equipment: Planters, sprayers, fertilizer equipment, tractors 400 hp or greater, combines, grain carts, semi-trucks and various trailers, and will use GPS equipment, for planting, harvesting and transporting produce and grain to distribution centers. Workers will maintain and repair irrigation tubing, field plastic and clean up pallets and boxes from field. Workers must be able to follow employer directions, to ensure sanitation procedures. 6 months of verifiable heavy equipment in an agricultural position is required. Workers will be subject to a random drug testing, after they are hired. Failure or refusing a drug test will result in immediate termination. All drug testing is paid for by the employer and at no cost to the worker. Workers must be able to qualify for a CDL license and basic drivers license in Indiana.

Special Requirements

Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.
