Job description

This is an application for Agricultural Equipment Maintenance. This application encompasses maintaining farm machinery and equipment. All other duties assigned under this order will be those duties Aircraft Mechanics and Service Technician Code 49-3011. Employees will be servicing, and repairing helicopters that spray pesticides that eliminate insects and other organisms that could be harmful to cultivated crops such as but not limited to almonds, alfalfa, pistachios, and vegetables. Helicopters are usually the last solution for insecticide or pest problems that exist in the fields.

General Conditions: This position requires a minimum of (3) months of agricultural equipment maintenance experience.

Job Duties:
· Observe and listen to machinery operations to detect equipment malfunctions.
· Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
· Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed according to the inspection regulations.
· Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions.
· Attach farm implements such as sprayers to aircraft using needed tools.
· Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery.
· Inspect equipment or facilities to determine condition or maintenance needs.
· Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
· Self-starter with the ability to prioritize work.
· A safety-first approach to all activities performed.
· A team-oriented approach to problem solving and prevention.
· Enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
· Ability to solve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
· Maintain equipment used in agricultural production and field preparation in agriculture.

This job opportunity requires 3 months of Agricultural Equipment Maintenance
4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 60lbs.
4g) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
4h) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools.
4i) May require the worker to sit and/or walk for extended periods of time while examining, transporting.
4j) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm maintenance labor such as removing debris.
4k) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm maintenance labor duties.
