Rice Farm Laborer

Job description

Duties include but not limited to: walking fields, weeding by hand and hoe, rouging out red rice, walking pipelines checking for leaks and punctures, and adjusting levee gates in rice fields. Some tractor driving may be required. Minor repair and maintenance to farm equipment, cleaning farm equipment, shovel work, working fields that are planted. Any general farm labor that may arise in the operation of a rice farm will be required . Drug tests may be performed post hire at no cost to the workers compensation guidelines. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. Worker must abide all posted work and safety rules. Workers must be physically able to perform all duties described.
