Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: Prepare fields for planting by discing, cultivating, aerating, and ripping. Transport feed from fields to farm. Transport commodities to farm from various locations. Mechanical work on farming trucks and farm equipment. Operate tractors, baggers, choppers, swathers, dozers and other farming equipment. Haul and spread fertilizer on fields. Build and repair fences around field and farms.

Crops: Corn, Small Grain, Sorghum

Equipment: Swather, Bagger, Choppers and farming equipment.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a CDL within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to CDL requirements. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Must have previous CDL experience.Employer will train for 7 days on the job that the worker will be doing. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
