Job description
Job duties include the operation of farm equipment, including, but not limited to, tractors with various implements, mowers, sprayers, combines, backhoes, semi-trucks, pickup trucks, and ATVs to perform multiple farm tasks such as planting, spraying, harvesting, and hauling grain to elevator or storage areas. Job will also require performing manual labor which includes, but is not limited to, performing mechanical repair and maintenance on equipment, washing equipment, and regularly servicing equipment. Employees will tend to livestock during the calving process and will assist with feeding the cattle. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. Pay increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit.
Special Requirements
Job requires having or being able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Criminal background check may be done post hire at the employer's expense to ensure the safety of other workers in work and living areas. CDL is preferred as employees will drive semi-trucks to transport crops to the storage area. Job duties will require workers to sit or walk for extended periods.
