Agricultural Equipment Operators

Job description

Job duties are as follow:
Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops.
Attach farm implements, such as planter, disc and drill to tractor.
Till soil, plant and cultivate grain.
Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine, swather, baler and rake.
Driving grain and silage trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.
Maintenance of machinery and equipment - this includes duties such as lubricating and repairing farm machinery.
Operate scale to weigh commodities that are harvested.
Record and organize commodity tickets.

Crop: Corn, hay, rye and soy beans

Special Requirements

A minimum of 3 months experience is required.
No minimum education is required.
Duties that are performed involve extensive pushing, pulling, sitting and walking. Frequent bending over and stooping, as well as repetitive movements.
Exposure to extreme temperatures.
Employer must be able to lift 60 lbs.
Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30-90 days of hire.
Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
