Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operating farm machinery to plant, spray, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Equipment: tractor, combine, trucks

Crops: Spring Wheat, Corn, Wheat

Special Requirements

A minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Drug screening required post hire at employer's expense because of the liability of driving heavy equipment and trucks on public roads. Background check required post hire at employer's expense because of expensive tools and equipment on the farm. Failure to pass a drug screening and/or background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. The wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. The employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed herein at his sole discretion.
