Job description

We have our own farming operation for which we need seasonal employees to assist with planting, raising and harvesting millet, soybeans and field corn. Employees will be required to operate combines and tractors with grain carts as well as some truck driving to haul our crops from field to storage locations. Employees will complete routine maintenance and repairs on equipment. During harvest employees will need to operate farm equipment including tractors with grain carts and other farm vehicles. Employees will complete general farm labor when working on our own farm. During the fall employees will need to operate combines, grain carts and trucks to haul harvested crops from the field to storage locations.

In addition to working on our own farm we run a local custom harvesting business. We custom combine for a few local farmers as listed on our itinerary. We custom harvest wheat, soybeans, popcorn and field corn. Employees will need to operate combines and custom harvest equipment to harvest and haul the crops from the fields. Different crops mature during different times and during the period from August to November we will be traveling between working on our farm and harvesting the crops for the clients as listed on the itinerary.

Special Requirements

Job requires extensive sitting, repetitive movements, exposure to extreme outdoor conditions and must be able to lift 50 lbs. Employer will conduct post-hire/random drug testing at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Must have a regular drivers license and a CDL or equivalent international permit and 3 months experience.
