Farm Laborer

Job description

Shifts are 8 hours per day (Monday-Friday), with a one hour lunch. Shifts are 5 hours on Saturday. Operate tractors to prepare fields; Chop weeds by hand for prolonged period of time; Manual shovel work; Must walk, stoop, bend, reach or kneel repetitively in planting and harvesting sugarcane and soybeans; Maintain farm vehicles and equipment; Must be able to lift 50 lbs.; Field and shed sanitation duties. Work is done in all kinds of weather. Once hired, workers may be required to take a random drug test at no cost. Failure to pass test may result in immediate termination. Possible work hours may vary (be more or less) due to weather conditions or mechanical breakdowns, but will not reduce 3/4 guarantee over the life of contract. Work tools, supplies and equipment provided at no cost. Housing provided for workers at no cost for workers who cannot reasonably return to permanent residence at end of workday.
