Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, spray, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. Drive pickup pulling NH3 tanks to get NH3. Drive truck to get fertilizer. Drive semi to get water and haul water to the field. Load sprayer with chemical. Operate sprayer and spray fields. Pickup rocks with rock picker and tractor. Help with daily duties on the farm. Mow and harrow fields. General lubrication, service (check fluids), and incidental repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Keep equipment clean.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive walking is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
