Agricultural Equipment Operators

Job description

Operate trucks to haul sugarcane from farm to mill. Work will be performed in shifts (Monday-Friday 10:00pm to 12:00 pm, 5:00am to 12:00pm, and 10:00pm to 5:00am), with one hour lunch. Perform manual labor to assist in unloading sugarcane and be able to sustain sitting, stooping, or bending repetitive motions. Repair and maintain farm and vehicles, implements, mechanical equipment, tires and trucks. Optional additional hours as business demands. Class A CDL or equivalent required for trucks and three months experience truck driving, end dump trailer; Will train for agricultural vehicles. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Work tools, equipment and supplies are employer provided at no cost to worker. Housing is provided to workers who cannot return to their residence at the end of each workday. Work is done in all kinds of weather from extreme heat to extreme cold. After hire, workers may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply with random testing may result in immediate termination from employment. Possibility of work breakdown will not reduce the workers guarantee over the life of the contract.
