Farmworker

Job description

Pruning fruit trees, berry bushes. Hand thinning apples, peaches. Spray fruit crops. Weeding, pulling weeds in crops. Planting, picking and harvesting tree fruit, berries, melons, vegetables, misc. Greenhouse, high tunnel work, planting, training, harvesting, crop clean up.
Overall general maintenance of trees and plants. Building trellises and fencing. Digging holes for planting. Summer scouting for pests. Summer pruning of trees. Install and maintain irrigation equipment including digging new lines. Work with small engine type equipment and power tools.

Crops: peaches, apples, tree fruit, strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, tomatoes, sweetcorn, melons, pumpkins, vegetables, fruit, misc garden crops, flowers.

Special Requirements

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Mostly outdoor work in all weather conditions hot, cold, wet or dry.
Must be able to stand for 8 hours, stoop or bend. Perform tasks with repetitive movement. Non-smoking/tobacco and drug free environment.
May be required to work on weekends.
