Job description
Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the facility to ensure timely and complete delivery. Manually or mechanically load or unload chemicals from pallets, skids, platforms, cars, lifting devices, or other transport vehicles. Accurately mix and apply fertilizer and/or chemicals per blend sheet specifications. Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, and secure chemicals for transportation to designated areas. Pump Hydrous Ammonia from our storage tanks to the nurse tanks. Calculate/batch blends and pump them into storage tanks on vehicles. Collect seed samples. Take soil, water and petal samples. Treat seed, bag fertilizer. Weigh materials/products and record weight or other production data gas or labels. Maintain accurate records/logs. Assist with dispatching equipment and operators. Haul water needed for application process, grain, seed and dry/liquid fertilizer to farmers and field operators. Operate field equipment such as self-propelled sprayers, Terragators, and/or haul dry fertilizer, for dry plants to spreaders. Make necessary repairs to equipment and facilities. Perform additional tasks as required. Provide an organized, clean and safe work environment. Follow safety guidelines and perform all duties in a safe manner. Comply with environmental regulations. Must pay attention to detail and interact with others in a professional and courteous manner.
Special Requirements
Employer requires post hire drug screening at employers expense due to driving heavy trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post hire at employers expense due to company policy since they will be handling chemicals. Failure to pass drug screening and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Extensive sitting. Exposure to extreme temperatures. Minimum of three (3) months experience required. Must be able to obtain a CDL drivers license within 30-90 days of hire. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. for 75 yards. No minimum education required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion
