Job description
Job duties include operating various farm equipment to plant, irrigate, spray, harvest, and transport crops to the storage area. Equipment that employees will operate includes but is not limited to tractors, combines, sprayer, planter, drill, disc, chisel, hipper, harrow, v-ripper, semi trucks, and tractors with various implements attached. Employees will also perform manual labor such as hook implements behind tractors as needed; perform mechanical repair and maintenance on equipment and physical infrastructure of the farm; clean grain bins and shop area; clean out ditches; maintain turn-rows; lay and poke holes in polypipe to irrigate crops; clean equipment; grease equipment; unload trucks at storage facility; weld; scoop grain bins; clean grain pits; shovel work; and use chain saws. Employees must have or be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire; 3 months of experience; and basic English literacy, reading, and math skills. Increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit.
Special Requirements
Employees must be able to lift 75 pounds. Employees will scoop grain bins, lay and poke holes in poly pipe, clean grain pits, use shovels, chainsaw work, work on equipment, and clean equipment.
