Job description

Performs duties on a farm like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store squash, eggplant and green peppers. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate crops. Worker will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, assembly, testing, and repairs of the packaging line on the farm to include dumper, sizer, RPC fillers, and conveyor motors/belts. Tow harvesting equipment. Operate sprayer. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Drive trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Equipment: Tractor, Combine, Grain Trucks

Special Requirements

Minimum of 6 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
