Job description

Hand plant sugarcane and operate tractors to prepare fields. Perform other planting and harvesting duties and manual labor, such as clearing trees and manual shovel work. Maintain and operate farm vehicles and equipment. Field and shed sanitation duties. Work is Mon-Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm, with one hour lunch. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Work is done in all kinds of weather. Possible work hours may vary (be more or less) due to weather conditions or mechanical breakdown (will not reduce workers' 3/4 guarantee over the life of the contract); Tools and equipment provided at no cost; No cost housing provided for workers who cant reasonably return to permanent residence at end of workday. Work includes extensive repetitive movements: walking, stooping, bending, kneeling and exposure to extreme weather conditions from rain and cold to hot and humid.
