Job description
Drive and control farm equipment and attached farm implements to till soil and to plant, irrigate, cultivate, and harvest grain crops. Adjust, inspect, repair and service farm machinery. Specifically they will set up and operate irrigation equipment, operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow, and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray, and harvest crops. They will repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; clear and maintain irrigation ditches.
Special Requirements
Must have 3 months experience in operation and maintenance of farm equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. Workers may be given a discretionary bonus at the end of the season.
