Ag Equipment Operator

Job description

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil; plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks and 13 speed semi to transport crops to elevator or storage area.

Crops: Corn, Small Grain, Soy Beans

Equipment: Ground Sprayer, Combine, Evacuvator, grain bins & augers, tractor, planter, Semi, Pick up trucks, turbo tiller, disc, gator, mechanical shop tools, welder

Special Requirements

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Certified license is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to the presence of children on the farm. Failure to pass criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Must be able to obtain a chemical applicator license within 15 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
