Job description

Temporary Seasonal Position: Agricultural Equipment Operator | SOC Code: 45-2091

All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described & must be available for entire period.

Rolling Rock Farms, Cassopolis, MI, Cass

Possible shift: 7:00AM-7:30PM. + May be possibility of weekend work. Crops: corn, Milo, Soy Beans, Squash, Watermelon. Duties may include: Drive trucks, control farm equipment to till soil, to plant, cultivate, harvest crops. Haul agricultural materials to and from farms. May perform tasks such as preparing soil and planting corn, milo, or soybeans, crop bailing or hay bucking , chop silage. May perform walk around inspection check on equipment, wash, clean, maintain equipment, heavy machinery, fences, grounds and area & other related Agricultural Equipment Operator activities as per SOC/OES 45-2091 (onetonline.org). Must have 3 months Combine, tractor operation & safety exp.Static strength; exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, unload, carry objects up to 65lbs (possible 2-person); may climb, walk, stand, reach, balance, sit, stoop, bend, squat, wash, clean: equip, grounds, area.65lbs. Tools supplies and equipment provided at no cost to worker. Employer guarantees 3/4 of contract. Work outdoors, exposed to weather, hot or cold; hrs may vary (+/-); possible downtimes and/or extended hrs. Dependable: fulfill obligations. Attn. to detail: complete work tasks. Employer provided housing available to those who cannot reasonably return to their residence within the same day. Cell phone use allowable during designated breaks.

Must be able to obtain a drivers license. Must be 18 due to equipment use. Drug/alcohol/tobacco free work zone. Based on Employer's discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing: positive test/ refusal to abide = dismissal. Possible background check pre hire at employer's expense. Worker has 3 days from date of hire to show legal authorization to work in the United States. Cash advances may apply at employer discretion. Drug and background checks are to be conducted pre-hire due to machine and vehicle operation safety requirements. Rolling Rock Farms would lawfully reject an applicant with violent crimes and any substance beyond alcohol or marijuana.
