Job description
Worker will perform general farm labor duties including, but not limited to, operating tractors and other farm and heavy equipment throughout the spring planting and fall harvest. Worker will assist in miscellaneous tasks such as light equipment maintenance, driving trucks, grounds keeping and crop storage. Workers will drive grain trucks, seed, and tender trucks to bring chemical and fertilizer to field. Workers will mix fertilizer and herbicides properly according to ratios provided. Worker will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on farm equipment and implements. Workers will assist with irrigation equipment; turn on/off, move pivots, change tires, gear boxes, etc. Workers shall maintain a clean and organized work areas in the shop, tractors, and trucks. Worker must maintain accurate field records. Drug testing will be performed upon incident or accident, failure or refusal of a drug screen will result in immediate termination. Workers must posses or be able to obtain a MI or International drivers license within 30 days.
Worker must have a minimum of 3 months verifiable work experience operating farm, agriculture, heavy equipment. Workers must follow all safety procedures and company policies. Workers must follow all DOT regulations, EPA, and State compliance.
Special Requirements
Hours listed in Section A.6 are the anticipated hours to be worked. These hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.
