Job description

Primary duties include, but are not limited to: Coordinate and complete fabrication of specialty farm equipment based on custom specifications. Complete repairs on farm equipment using variety of welding, machining, cutting and specialty mechanical repair techniques. Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance on a regular basis. Maintain accurate records of supplies used and time spent working on equipment. Accurately repair and utilize bearings, hydraulic components and power transmission parts in projects.

Special Requirements

Minimum of 12 months of experience working as welder/fabricator/machinist in a shop setting is required. Certification or equivalent in welding, farm machinery operation and electrical systems. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. The costs associated with obtaining a driver's license will be the financial responsibility of the employer. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers' expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment.
