Job description
Job Description: The Baker a valuable member of the production team focused on consistently producing the highest quality bakery product possible for customers. This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position. The primary job duties include: Use both hands and machines to shape dough into the forms that create a variety of premium bakery products. Prepare and load the product onto baking trays and oven racks as part of the pre-baking process. Maneuver the fully loaded rolling baking racks into the proofer. Assist in the cleaning and proper sanitation of production equipment and the work area. Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (OHSA) requirements. Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Critical Control Points (HACCP) requirements. Participate and successfully completes all Company approved and required training, and audits.
Assurances: Employer will provide workers with all tools, supplies, and equipment needed to perform the job at no cost to the employee.
Housing Assistance: Lodging (optional): Employer may assist workers in securing board, lodging, or other facilities. Workers are informed that housing is strictly voluntary/optional and may elect to provide their own housing. Housing secured with the employer’s assistance is not free of charge and employees must pay rent directly to the landlord. The estimated monthly rent is approximately $500-800 per worker. Employer is not a housing provider and will not operate housing inhabited by employees. Employer may provide daily transportation to and from the worksite free of charge if living in housing secured with the employer’s assistance, if needed.

Special Requirements
Basic Literacy skills. Able to read and comprehend verbal or written instructions, signage, and warning signs. Able to count and perform basic math. Able to comprehend production schedule. Capable of maneuvering up to 50 pounds and lifting approximately 20 pounds throughout a workday. Able to stand for extended periods of time. Physically capable of moving to all areas of the plant. Able to view product and determine adherence to quality control standards including size, shape, color, and cut. Able to perform all duties so as not to damage the product. Able to practice necessary food safety and personal safety procedures.
