Job description
Performs tasks to set up, operate, and tend equipment that cooks, mixes and extrudes ingredients in the manufacturing of candies; Follows recipes to produce Candies of specified flavor, texture, taste and color. Must be able to sort extruded products and re-load underweight raw materials into the batch. Maintains production records. Cleans and sterilizes equipment, supplies, tools, and factory areas to ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices and safety regulations. Dexterity and drug testing will be carried out equally between US workers and H2B workers. US workers are tested locally and the H-2B workers are tested before entering the USA. Work schedule 10 hours/day Monday-Thursday, 40 hrs/wk, morning shift 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM, afternoon shift 4:00 PM -2:00 AM.
Special Requirements
Workers must have manual dexterity, including the ability to quickly move your hand together with your arm, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects. Requires prolonged standing and lifting of up to 50 lbs. Pre-employment dexterity and drug testing, upon suspicion and post accident drug-alcohol testing conducted at employers expense. Negative drug test results required prior to starting work. Must be 18 years old or older. FDA sanitation standards and requirements including personal hygiene and communicable disease apply. Hairnets/beard nets must be worn. Upon successful completion of the hiring process, the applicant will be scheduled for a paid 4 hour New Hire Orientation and Safety Training. Post-hire employment eligibility (e-Verify) check required of foreign and domestic workers. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary.
